it was a dark and stormy happy hour…

well, not really, but it was drizzling a bit
whatever

first came the “daily candy” – a mojito with a side of molly moon’s mojito sorbet

skip it!! for 8 bucks, this thing sucked, the sorbet was lame and the mojito was qfc lemonade with a splash of boons.

then, in no particular order:

fries – decent, a little over seasoned
onion rings – bomb, crunchy, gooooood.
cod po’ boy – good at happy hour price = $6, wouldn’t pay more than that though
deep fried beecher’s cheese nuggets – i would get these again day or night, and if i was full, i’d wrap em up and put in my pocket for an hour from then, because sitting at the bar drunk and hungry and then realizing you have these nuggets of gold in your pocket would be one of the happiest moments ever.

well, at this point we just had to do it, so out came the chicken and waffles.

uhm, check it. for 11 bucks this should not have been an oversized ego waffle. i mean c’mon use a real waffle iron maybe please? the chicken was good but i did feel a little cheated.

so in all
the deck is awesome and will be a staple this summer. i’m way cool with 3 dolla wells and deep fried cheese nuggets; 4 dollas after happy hour – and yea – that’s about it – just another place on the hill to get yo drink on.

love love love this place! best sandwiches on the hill. best sandwiches ever. if i had a million dollars, she would cater all my parties (instead of grocery outlet). and check it, im not even vegan.
