first photo booth tuesday of 2009

January 6, 2009

alright fuckers, let’s reign in the new year with an ode to the retro, makeshift photo booth.

on this, lifeiscarbon writes:

nearly forty years ago, carl johan de geer built a photo booth out of a green wooden beer crate. inside was a miniature landscape with tiny plastic figures. a camera (an olympus pen, half-format) was hidden in the midst of the landscape, and those who followed the simple instruction “please press the button” were photographed.

there’s soemthing likable about these mod, beatnick lookin studs. note the lack of pouty lips and kiss faces. i’m jussayin….
